Medical elastic bandages are usually made of cotton and gauze using a special process, and are suitable for wrapping various parts of the body such as the head, abdomen and chest, limbs and tail.
Common methods of dressing are:
1. Ring bandaging method: This is the more basic and commonly used medical elastic bandage bandaging method. Generally, small wounds are cleaned with this method. It is also suitable for neck, head, legs, chest and abdomen. The method is: make a circle slightly obliquely, the second circle and the third circle make a loop, and the corner of the first circle is pressed into the annular circle, so that the fixation is more secure. Then fix the tape tail with adhesive paste, or cut the tape tail into two knots.
2. Snake bandaging method: It is mostly used for fixing injuries of splints. The method is: first wrap the bandage in a loop method for several times and fix it, and then wind it up or down diagonally according to the width of the bandage.
3. Spiral dressing: this method of dressing is mostly used for places with the same thickness, such as arms, etc. The dressing method is to first use a circular dressing method for dressing, and then move forward one-third of the circle according to each circle. One or two-thirds of the way to bandage, so as to form a spiral.
The above is the dressing method of medical elastic bandage for everyone. I hope it can help you.
